ERC ADG COSMOS starts at CNRS Paris

The ERC ADG COSMOS: Computational Shaping and Modeling of Musical Structures project starts 1 June 2019 at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) in Paris, France, where it is hosted at the Sciences et technologies de la musique et du son (STMS) Lab. The COSMOS project aims to study musical structures as they are created in performance and in cardiac arrhythmia sequences using data science, citizen science, and optimization.

The STMS lab is a joint research unit (UMR9912) of the CNRS, Sorbonne University, French Ministry of Culture, and Institut de recherche et coordination acoustique/musique (Ircam). The lab is located at Ircam, which is part of the Georges Pompidou Centre, and much of its facilities can be found underground, under the Stravinsky fountain.
